Liner & Firebox

The category where TSE draws its hardest line: the high-consequence liner systems are install-only, because a relining job is a fire-safety system, not a box you fit on a Saturday. Alloy is the whole conversation — 316Ti for wood and high heat, 304 where the fuel allows. We supply the firebox repair components and accessory hardware, size every liner to the appliance listing, and install to UL 1777.

Liner Insulation Blanket Wrap Kit (¼" / ½", UL 1777)

Ceramic and mineral blanket plus mesh and bands to wrap a stainless liner for clearance and draft per UL 1777. We treat insulation as standard rather than optional, because an insulated liner drafts hotter, keeps creosote down, and earns the clearance reduction the listing allows. Skipping it to shave the bill is the false economy that brings you back later with a draft complaint. It goes on with the reline, and we can sweep and inspect in the same visit.

Refractory Firebox Panel Set (Prefab / Masonry Replacement)

Pre-cast refractory panels, OEM-matched for factory-built fireboxes, that replace cracked firebox walls and floor and restore the firebox's rating. Cracked refractory is a real safety item, not a cosmetic one: once a panel cracks through, the steel shell behind it is exposed straight to the fire. We match the OEM panel to your firebox model, because a generic panel that is only close voids the listing. While the crew is at your home for the fireplace, they can sweep the flue and check the dryer vent too.

Cast-Iron Throat Damper Assembly (Poker / Rotary Control)

Cast-iron throat damper plate and frame set at the firebox throat, with poker or rotary control. If your throat damper has rusted out, we will often suggest pairing the repair with a top-sealing damper, since the throat damper controls the burn while the top damper seals the idle flue. We size the plate to your throat so it actually closes square. It fits neatly alongside a sweep and inspection on the same visit.

Liner Connection & Termination Hardware (Tee, Top Plate, Connector)

The stainless hardware that turns a length of liner into a finished, code-correct system: the bottom tee and removable snout that connect to the appliance, the top plate and storm collar that seal and anchor the liner at the crown, and the connector that ties it to the stove or insert. We do not hand you a parts pile, because these are matched to the liner diameter and the appliance collar, and a loose tee or an unsealed top plate is exactly where a reline leaks combustion gas or rain. Supplied and fitted with the reline, alongside your sweep on one appointment.

Smoke Guard / Adjustable Fireplace Hood

Adjustable stainless or black-steel band mounted across the top of the fireplace opening to stop smoke rolling out into the room, the fix when the opening is too tall for the flue it is paired with. It corrects the opening-to-flue ratio mechanically by shrinking the opening just enough, and we set it to the smallest reduction that actually stops the roll-out so it stays nearly invisible. We diagnose why the fireplace smokes first, because a guard is the right answer to a ratio problem, not to a blocked or undersized flue. We can inspect the whole system on the same trip.

Firebrick / Refractory Split-Brick Set

Boxed rated firebricks for rebuilding or patching a masonry firebox floor and walls, sold as the correct rated firebrick for the heat rather than common brick, which spalls. A capable homeowner can patch a single course; a failing back wall is a job for our crew. When we are out for the rebuild, we can sweep the flue and run the dryer-vent check in the same visit.

Cast-Iron Fireback

Decorative cast plate that stands at the back of the firebox to radiate heat forward and shield the masonry, one of the rare products that is both protective and good-looking. It pushes heat into the room and saves the back wall from the fire, so a working hearth gets a genuine accent that also does a job. Easy to set while the crew is already handling your fireplace and chimney on one appointment.

Chimney Cleanout / Ash-Pit Door (Steel / Cast-Iron, Framed)

Lockable framed access door at the chimney base for clearing the ash pit and sweeping out debris, a small part that quietly matters. A sound, gasketed cleanout door keeps the draft right and the basement clean, and we cut it into the masonry square so it seals, because a rattling door is just an air leak. We can fit it while we sweep and inspect on the same visit.
