Selected features and credits

The work the practice is most proud of tends to land in two places — the houses themselves, where it lives, and occasionally in the publications that follow Dallas residential architecture and design. The selected features below are a record of the editorial coverage our projects have received over the past several years, in the order in which they appeared.

We do not pitch publications. The features below were initiated by the publications themselves, or by the design firms and architects we collaborated with. Our role in each was the work; the editorial framing was the publication’s.

Home tour features

D Magazine — Dallas Premium Home Tour

A multi-page feature on a Park Cities estate restoration that included our principal-room fireplace work. The feature focused on the broader interior renovation; the fireplace was credited as one of several specified trade contributions. Photography by the publication’s design team. Year of publication on file.

Dallas Magazine — Architectural Heritage issue

A feature on pre-war Dallas restoration work that included our restoration of a 1928 Tudor revival mantel on Beverly Drive. The feature is part of the magazine’s ongoing coverage of architectural conservation in the Park Cities. See the related Highland Park Tudor restoration case study.

Modern Luxury Dallas — Designer Spotlight

A profile of an interior design firm with which we have collaborated on multiple Preston Hollow and University Park projects. The profile included a full-spread image of one of our completed mantel redesigns. Designer-magazine credits

Texas Architect — Residential Issue

A residential project feature in which our outdoor fireplace work was credited as one of the trades on a White Rock Lake Tudor revival expansion. See the White Rock Lake Tudor outdoor fireplace case study.

Luxe Interiors + Design — Texas edition

CSIA — Certified Master Sweep designation

Awarded to our lead inspector and senior technicians. CSIA Master Sweep is the highest standing certification within the Chimney Safety Institute of America’s certification framework.

F.I.R.E. — Forensic certification

F.I.R.E. (Fireplace, Investigation, Research & Education) certification recognizes investigative and inspection-grade competence in fireplace and chimney systems.

NCSG — Member in good standing

Better Business Bureau — A+ accreditation

A+ rated and accredited with the Better Business Bureau of North Texas.

Publication logo wall

This page on the live site displays a logo wall of publications in which our work has appeared. Where publication or photograph rights restrict logo display, the publication is named in text rather than displayed.

The current logo wall includes: D Magazine; Dallas Magazine; Modern Luxury Dallas; Texas Architect; Luxe Interiors + Design (Texas); plus selected designer-firm portfolio credits.

Speaking and education

We do not speak publicly with great frequency, but team members occasionally participate in panel discussions, designer education events, and CSIA continuing-education workshops. Inquiries from publications, design schools, or trade-education programs are welcome at the address below.
