A Letter From the Founder

Why We Do This.

Not a marketing page — the actual story behind why Texas Service Experts exists, and the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.

I started Texas Service Experts because the standard in this trade was lower than it had any right to be.

The chimney service industry in DFW — like most home-services industries — is a two-tier system. There's a top tier of family-owned, certified, careful operators. And there's everyone else: out-of-state chains, day-laborer subcontractors, seasonal pop-ups that disappear when something goes wrong.

I've spent 10+ years in the second tier. I've watched companies bid a $500 sweep, find a $400 "repair" that didn't exist, pressure the homeowner into signing same-day, then disappear when the work didn't hold. I've seen homeowners pay for crown rebuilds that were just cosmetic sealing. I've seen flue liners installed by people who didn't know what NFPA 211 was.

When I started this company, I made three rules — and I haven't broken one of them yet:

  • 01
No work without a written quote first.

Photos before, line items, total — signed by you before we lift a tool. If we find something mid-job, we stop and rewrite the quote. You approve or we close it out.

  • 02
    W-2 employees only, never subs.

Every person on your property is on our payroll, certified by us, background-checked by us, and operating under our quality standards. No rotating subcontractors. No "the day labor crew will be there at 9."

  • 03
    Warranty in writing. Transferable.

1-year workmanship warranty on every job, in writing, on the invoice. If you sell the house, it transfers to the next owner. If something fails because of our work, we come back — free.

That's it. Three rules. They cost us money sometimes — we lose bids to lower operators all the time. We're fine with that. The customers who choose us, we keep. The ones who don't, we don't try to win back with discounts.

Our technicians are CSIA-certified. Every job is measured against NFPA 211 and the venting code in force where you live. We're licensed and insured, and work that requires a licensed professional — gas, electrical, or structural — is performed or signed off by one. The standards are public; read them and grade us by them — they're all linked on our standards & compliance page. That's not marketing — that's the bar.

If you're reading this, you're probably making a decision about your chimney. I hope you read three or four pages of this site, look at our reviews on Google, and make the call that's right for you — whether that's us or someone else.

If it's us, we'll send a CSIA-certified inspector to your home, free, with photos and a written quote. No pressure. If we earn the work, we'll do it right.

That's the promise. That's why we exist.
